Rose Senior Living Avon is recruiting for a hospitality focused Health & Wellness Companion to join our team!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Health & Wellness Companion:
- Provides companion services for seniors in the community. Companion services are non-skilled, non-nursing services that do not provide hands-on support.
- Duties may include the following types of responsibilities:
- Housekeeping
- Shopping and errands
- Meal preparation
- Laundry, ironing
- Pet care such as dog walking, litterbox care, and pet supply shopping
- Transportation and escorts to appointments and social events
- Companionship and entertainment
- Home organization and seasonal decorating
- Move-in and move-out assistance such as packing and unpacking
- Trash removal
- Communication and support related to sensory loss (low vision, hearing)
- Tech support such as setting up, trouble shooting and teaching hardware and software
- Cleaning and washing detail for golf carts and cars
- Handyman services such as hanging pictures, furniture assembly, and/or small repairs
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the IHS Director
- Observes the client for changes in general physical and mental conditions. Reports any changes noted to the care coordinator or supervisor.
- Adheres to the documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Has excellent observation and communication skills.
- Has CPR certification or receives CPR certification after hire.
- Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling obligations.
- If providing transportation services, must hold a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Has the ability to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position working Part-time from 9:00am to 1:00pm, Every other weekend, with varied hours based on resident and family :needs.
