Health Information Management Analyst

The is an an entry level position that supports audits of vendor imaged documents to assure that information is indexed under the correct patient under the prescribed indexing scheme and image quality meets departmental/vendor agreed upon standards. Convert documents to text images and import images into current scanning application. Review records for completeness accuracy and compliance with regulations. Enter deficiencies into chart tracking computer system. (HIM=Health Information Management)

  • Analyzes each patient health record.

  • Communicate with customers.

  • Performs area-specific support/technical activities.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Must successfully pass AHIMA approved Medical Terminology CBL course within 12 months of hire date.
Experience: No experience required
Licensure: None required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

The starting base rate for this role is $15.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
