Position Summary

Chart reconciliation, prepping, scanning, records management and other department support.

• Meets or exceeds hourly departmental productivity standard for preparing, prepping and scanning discharge patient medical records
• Retrieves medical records from Patient Care areas, organizes and processes for document imaging
• Reconciles all patient type records against discharge lists and takes appropriate and timely action to retrieve all discharged patient records
• Assists external and internal customers including hospital departments and physicians as well as their office staff
• Answers the phone and provide customer service in a timely and professional manner
• Assist physicians with chart completion in a timely and professional manner
• Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
• Maintains safe environment
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned

• Minimum Requirements
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent
  • Experience: No prior experience required
  • Special Skills:
    • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
    • Must have good organizational skills.
    • Must be self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
