The Substitute Teacher for the SIUE Head Start/Early Head Start Program in East St. Louis will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality early childhood education. Tasked with a wide range of responsibilities, the individual will facilitate developmentally appropriate lesson plans, including activities during Family Style Dining, and implement the adopted curriculum tailored to young learners' needs. Additionally, managing classroom behavior, individualizing instruction, and conducting essential screenings and assessments are key duties. This role requires maintaining meticulous records, scheduling and conducting home visits and parent-teacher conferences, and obtaining as well as managing child outcome data efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment for children.-Possess an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or 60 college credits with at least 6 hours in Early Childhood Education and coursework equivalent to a major in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching infants/toddlers and/or preschool aged children; or
-One year of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university; or
-Completion of credentialing programs approved by the Department in accordance with Appendix G of Early Childhood Teacher Credentialing Programs ( Child Development Associate Credential, Certified Childcare Professional, Gateways to Opportunity Credentials)

-A Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education
