The Cloud ERP SCM unit is responsible for the SCM portfolio within SAP’s Cloud ERP, spanning Asset Management, Quality Management, Manufacturing Foundation, Transportation Management, Core Logistics, Warehouse Management, Plan to Execute, Advanced Variant Configuration and Integrated Product Development. Together, these components form the backbone of seamless supply chain operations worldwide and are an integrated suite of top-tier, best-of-breed supply‑chain management modules that work seamlessly together to provide comprehensive, specialized, and consistently interoperable SCM capabilities.

As Head of Product Management for Cloud ERP SCM (m/f/d) Design and Make, you will lead our Cloud ERP SCM efforts, with a strong focus on Design and Manufacturing. In this critical role, you will be responsible for defining and executing strategies to compete aggressively with best-of-breed vendors, leveraging SAP’s strengths in integration and embedded experiences.

Expectations and Tasks:

We’re looking for a candidate who brings deep expertise in design and manufacturing processes combined with hands-on SAP product and consulting experience. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual who can successfully navigate a complex and evolving organization and deliver outstanding results.

• Shape and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Cloud ERP SCM, focusing on Design and Manufacturing.
• Develop and implement aggressive competition strategies against best-of-breed vendors by providing an integrated and embedded solution portfolio.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful integration, measurable adoption, and business impact, while overseeing seamless integration of Cloud ERP SCM solutions into SAP’s product portfolio.
• Lead market research and analysis efforts to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive environments, and translate these insights into strategic product decisions.
• Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success and impact of product initiatives, and continuously improve based on data-driven insights.
• Foster innovation by staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluating their potential to enhance Cloud ERP SCM offerings.
• Provide thought leadership and represent SAP at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to build the company's reputation in the market.
• Carry out build-buy-partner analysis for the product portfolio.
• Work closely together with the broader product management heads within supply chain to ensure a coherent product strategy end to end.
• Identify and drive the next generation of product innovation driven by Artificial Intelligence that drives customer value and adoption.
• Drive Partnerships with the right product vendors to drive synergies.
• Support M&A initiatives including identifying targets and due diligence.
• Lead and inspire a team of experts to achieve common goals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

What you bring

• Master's degree (preferably an MBA) in Business Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of professional experience in product management and/or consulting in supply chain, manufacturing and design.
• Deep industry experience in the manufacturing space, both in discrete and process.
• Deep, practical expertise in SAP products and SCM processes, with a strong focus on Cloud ERP and SAP S/4HANA integrations preferred.
• Proven track record of developing and executing competitive strategies and comprehensive product roadmaps.
• Proven experience in managing customer relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Exceptional analytical skills to define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive data-driven decision-making.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Superior communication, intercultural, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.
• Trusted team player able to work independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
• Highly adaptable and resilient, with the ability to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines in a complex and evolving organization.
• Experience in manufacturing industry and in Strategy Consulting firms are an added advantage.
