Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for a Head Men’s Basketball Coach in the college's Athletic Department. The Head Men’s Basketball Coach provides direction and leadership for all aspects of the college’s intercollegiate basketball team. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will teach basketball skills at the collegiate level; hire qualified coaches to assist in the development of student athletes; develop, manage, and assess budgets and equipment, adhering to BBCC athletic policies; and ensure academic and athletic eligibility of all basketball student-athletes.
In collaboration with the Department of Athletics and student-athletes, the head coach is also responsible for fundraising for the men’s basketball program. This position requires strong planning and organizational skills as well as effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to create and maintain positive relationships with athletes, other coaches, and college staff.

COMPENSATION:
This is a part-time position with an annual (July 1-June 30) stipend starting at $8,500. The salary will be pro-rated based upon the start date and remainder of the fiscal year. Additional campus employment may be available based upon qualifications and interest. This position is not benefit-eligible and is exempt from overtime.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
