St. Andrew's Family Fitness Plus is seeking a Head Lifeguard / Aquatics Safety Coordinator to help lead lifeguard operations and ensure the safety of patrons at our indoor and seasonal outdoor pools.
Ideal for experienced lifeguards, head lifeguards, or swim instructors looking to step into a leadership role with consistent year-round hours.
For more than 75 years, St. Andrew's Parks & Playground Commission has enriched lives through parks, recreation, and wellness. This role combines hands-on lifeguarding with leadership responsibilities, including supervising lifeguards, scheduling staff, supporting aquatics programs, and maintaining a safe pool environment.
Pay:$18–$20 per hour depending on experience and certificationsKey Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of lifeguards
Maintain lifeguard coverage during all pool operating hours
Respond to aquatic and medical emergencies
Assist with staff scheduling, training, and onboarding
Track certifications and support lifeguard development
Assist with swim lessons, pool operations, and facility readiness
Full-time (32–40 hours per week)
Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Indoor pool at Family Fitness Plus
Seasonal outdoor pool at Forest Lakes
Must be 21 years or older
3+ years of lifeguarding experience
Current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain before starting)
Lifeguard Instructor certification preferred and required within 6 months
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
Candidates who previously held lifeguard certifications but need renewal are encouraged to apply. The agency may support certification training for the right candidate.
Experience from YMCA, country clubs, beach patrol, summer pool management companies, or other aquatics facilities is highly valued.
