The City of Onalaska is seeking to hire Head Lifeguards. An employee in this position works under the supervision of the Aquatics Center Specialist and provides supervision of the pool in the absence of the Aquatic Specialist. Position is responsible for the providing a safe environment at the Aquatic Center. Head Lifeguards will provide a positive image of the City’s aquatic program by attentive, conscientious, and courteous behavior at all times. Scheduled hours may vary.
Essential Job Functions:
Compensation:Wage range for this seasonal, limited-term position is $14.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on qualifications and budget. Flexible scheduling available. There are no benefits associated with limited-term positions.

Minimum 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required. Current certification in CPR and First Aid and American Red Cross Lifeguard training required. Previous supervisory experience at an aquatic facility preferred. Must work with little or no supervision. Good communication and organizational skills.
