Provides administration of pastoral care/religious services for SCDC, to include recruiting, hiring, training, and supervision, and providing technical assistance to a variety of staff.
Monitors policies and manage requests, ensuring religious freedom of inmates is protected, while representing the agency in resolving issues that arise in this area.
Serves as a technical expert in religious services and coordinates agency work assignments among chaplains.
Meets regularly with other regional chaplains to ensure statewide continuity of care across the agency, including creating reports about work.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
Equivalent Master of Divinity degree and ordination as a priest, minister, or rabbi, with a current ecclesiastical endorsement; work experience in a clinical pastoral setting.
Additional 6 years pastoral experience with 1 year full-time work experience as a chaplain in a clinical setting. 1 year administrative responsibilities.
