Are you willing to operate machinery safely and see the success of an exciting industry?Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Haul Truck Driver at our Grantville Quarry. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant. Essential Functions
Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel cultureInspect equipment for signs of wearPerform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipmentWork in a team environmentClean work areasManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsProper wear of personal protective equipmentNotify supervisors of repairs neededEnsure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirementsAssist in plant maintenance and repairsPerform duties with minimum supervision
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalentMust have a valid driver's licenseHeavy equipment operations or military experience preferred1 + years related experienceValid US driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with minimal supervisionKnowledge of MSHA regulationsEffective verbal communicationKnowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
Physical Abilities
Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-roundGeneral physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling materials
