They are hiring a Hardware Test Engineer to support verification activities for complex custom electromechanical hardware systems, including internal design verification testing, external lab coordination, test method development, hardware characterization, and formal protocol/report documentation in an early-stage, high-impact environment

Role Overview
We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to support verification and validation activities for complex custom hardware systems and subsystems. This person will be responsible for executing internal and external testing, supporting test method development, documenting results, and helping bring up custom test infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute internal design verification testing for hardware systems and subsystems
- Coordinate and support testing performed by external laboratories or vendors
- Work closely with engineering teams to develop and refine custom test methods
- Collaborate with design engineers to characterize hardware performance
- Support dry runs and transfer of test procedures to outside partners
- Document test execution, results, deviations, and conclusions in formal reports
- Contribute to the development and improvement of test fixtures, equipment, and processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of industry experience testing electromechanical or hardware-based products
- Experience executing verification testing and contributing to test planning or test design
- Experience writing test protocols, documenting results, and preparing formal test reports
- Experience working within a quality-controlled or regulated product development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
- Familiarity with medical device development, regulated hardware systems, or applicable compliance standards
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across engineering, quality, and external partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple testing activities
- Willingness to travel occasionally to vendors or test partners, expected to be less than 10%
