Group Product Manager, AI-Native Payments & Connected Workflows

Intuit
Mountain View, CA

We are looking for a Group Product Manager to lead one of QuickBooks Payments' most important growth bets: redefining how small businesses get paid in an AI-first world — and unlocking our next major wave of growth.

The way small businesses run their operations is being rewritten in real time. AI is collapsing the time and effort required to do work that used to take hours. The tools small business owners reach for are changing, and the surfaces where they expect to do their work are multiplying. For QuickBooks Payments, this is a defining opportunity to give millions of SMBs back the hours they spend getting paid and reimagine how money flows into their business — and to drive a step-change in TPV growth as we do.

This is where you come in. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a portfolio of AI-forward product bets aimed at transforming how SMBs get paid — spanning AI-native invoicing inside QuickBooks, embedded payments experiences in the third-party AI ecosystems where SMBs increasingly work, AI-native workflows for key industry verticals, and our point of sale offering. The mandate is ambitious: build AI-native payments experiences that millions of SMBs adopt and rely on — fueling transformative, durable growth for QB Payments. You will lead a team of senior PMs and set the bar for product quality and strategic clarity across the pillar.

Responsibilities

Set the long-term vision and strategy for an AI-forward payments portfolio that gives SMBs back the hours they spend getting paid and earns their trust as the way they manage money flowing into their business — driving transformative growth for QB Payments as a result.

Lead a team of senior product managers, setting them up to do the best work of their careers — coaching, raising the bar, and ensuring strategic coherence across initiatives.

Drive portfolio-level prioritization and tradeoffs across a heterogeneous mix of bets — first-party AI experiences, third-party platform integrations, vertical-specific workflows, and our point of sale offering — making sharp calls about where to invest for maximum impact.

Own a clear set of business and customer outcomes for the pillar, and operate against them with discipline — ultimately delivering material, measurable impact for both customers and the business.

Partner with executives across QB and Intuit to align on strategy, secure investment, and unblock execution.

Galvanize cross-functional teams across product, design, engineering, data science, business development, marketing, legal, and analytics to move with velocity.

Go deep with customers and data to pressure-test strategic choices and ensure the team is building solutions customers genuinely use and value.

Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years leading and developing other PMs; proven track record building and scaling SMB or consumer products with material business impact.

People Leadership: Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain strong PMs; track record of stretching senior ICs (including Principal-level talent) and helping them grow.

AI-Forward Product Sensibility: Hands-on experience shipping AI-native product experiences (LLM-powered, agentic, conversational, or workflow automation); strong, opinionated intuition for what 'great' looks like in this emerging design space.

Strategic Thinking: Track record translating market shifts into multi-quarter, multi-workstream product strategies that compound over time.

Excel in Ambiguity: Comfortable taking open-ended, undefined business problems and turning them into clear strategy, sequenced roadmaps, and high-velocity execution.

Analytical Rigor: Demonstrated ability to use data to set targets, measure impact, and reset course; comfort designing metrics frameworks and instrumenting for incrementality.

Cross-functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence in a complex, matrixed organization; builds credibility quickly across functions and altitudes.

Executive Presence: Comfortable owning the room with senior and C-level executives; can distill complex strategy into a compelling narrative.

Customer Obsession: Passion for deeply understanding small business owners and what they need to thrive.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to engage credibly with engineering on technical tradeoffs; understanding of payments, APIs, and AI/ML systems is a strong plus.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; conveys strategy and complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus: experience with multi-surface or platform product strategies (e.g., embedded/API-based, partner-enabled, or ecosystem-driven plays); experience with point of sale, retail, or vertical SaaS is also a plus.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an MBA or advanced degree is a bonus. Equivalent experience will be considered.
