JOB SUMMARY

The Granite Warehouse & Forklift Associate plays a critical role in supporting daily countertop fabrication operations by ensuring materials are prepared, staged, and loaded accurately for installation. This position works closely with the Shop Manager and installation teams to ensure each job is equipped with the correct materials and ready on time. Success in this role means granite and quartz materials are staged accurately, installation crews are fully prepared before departure, and the shop environment remains organized, safe, and efficient. This is a hands-on role that supports both production flow and operational accuracy within the fabrication facility.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all job materials are reviewed, prepared, and staged accurately based on daily job packets and installation schedules.
  • Maintain organization of granite and quartz slabs, ensuring materials are properly staged and easily accessible for upcoming installations.
  • Verify all materials and components are complete and accurate prior to loading to prevent job delays or errors in the field.
  • Load materials onto racks, frames, and delivery trucks safely and efficiently while maintaining product integrity.
  • Coordinate with installation teams to ensure crews are fully prepared with the correct materials prior to departure.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop and yard environment to support daily operations.
  • Support general warehouse, yard, and shop operations as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or a related environment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read and understand basic job documentation and perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
  • Experience working with stone, countertops, or building materials.
  • Experience in a fabrication, warehouse, or production environment.

Experience in fabrication or warehouse operations is helpful but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Mobility: Frequently required to stand and move throughout the shop and yard to access materials and equipment.
  • Positioning: Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while handling materials.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequently handles and moves stone materials and operates equipment using proper techniques.
  • Vision: Ability to visually inspect materials and identify quality differences.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

  • Warehouse/Shop: Work is performed in a fabrication shop and warehouse environment with exposure to non-climate-controlled conditions (heat and cold), moving equipment, dust, and elevated noise levels.
  • Yard/Outdoor: May involve working outdoors with exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
  • Safety: Requires adherence to all safety policies and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
