Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under supervision of the Learning Design & Technology (LTEC) Department Chair, assist and support LTEC faculty facilitate teaching Here-Or-There (HOT)/hybrid classes on-site

  • Support day-to-day operations of COE makerspace/immersive technologies which includes a podcasting station, 3D printers, VR/AR headsets, etc.

  • Support COE faculty with the integration of technology-enhanced curriculum

  • Design, develop and deliver face-to-face and online workshops on makerspace and immersive technologies

  • Assist with literature review, data collection/analysis and research writing

  • Other related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Full-time graduate student in good standing (3.0 GPA) in Computer Science, or related degree program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa

  • Ability to work in an office setting 20 hours per week

  • Experience teaching using Zoom

  • Experience with podcasting, using 3D printers and VR/AR immersive technologies

  • Experience with organizing and conducting hands-on technology workshops

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Strong written and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills


Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated workshop presentation skills

  • Experience with producing podcasts

  • Experience with literature review, data collection and analysis, and research writing

  • Experience teaching online

  • Knowledge of pedagogical strategies and technology for hybrid/hyflex learning

  • Interest in educational technology integration, web accessibility, and universal design for learning
