Our client, a nationally recognized and Chambers-ranked Government Contracts practice, is seeking a talented Government Contracts Attorney to join its growing team. Opportunities are available for attorneys with approximately 5+ years of experience, with title and compensation commensurate with experience, credentials, and demonstrated expertise.


This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated federal government contracting matters for leading contractors across a broad range of industries, including defense, aerospace, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, life sciences, and technology. The ideal candidate will be interested in long-term career growth and partnership potential within a collaborative and entrepreneurial practice.


Position Overview

The successful candidate will advise government contractors on a wide range of federal procurement matters, regulatory compliance issues, contract disputes, and strategic business considerations. Attorneys will have significant client interaction, opportunities for thought leadership, and involvement in business development initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients on federal procurement regulations, including FAR and DFARS compliance.
  • Handle bid protests before the GAO, Court of Federal Claims, and agency-level forums.
  • Draft and prosecute Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs) and Contract Disputes Act (CDA) claims.
  • Represent clients in CDA litigation and contract dispute matters.
  • Advise on subcontracting issues, flow-down requirements, compliance obligations, and related disputes.
  • Counsel clients regarding organizational conflicts of interest (OCI), suspension and debarment matters, and contractor responsibility issues.
  • Advise on multiple-award contract vehicles, task-order competitions, and procurement strategy.
  • Provide guidance on small business contracting issues, SBA regulations, mentor-protégé programs, and socioeconomic set-aside programs.
  • Draft and negotiate teaming agreements, subcontract agreements, joint ventures, and other government contracting-related agreements.
  • Collaborate with corporate and transactional attorneys on government contracts aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions.
  • Contribute to client alerts, publications, presentations, webinars, and other thought leadership initiatives.


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, or eligibility for admission.
  • Minimum 5 years of federal government contracts experience.
  • Prior law firm government contracts experience strongly preferred.
