The Global Used Equipment Sales & Procurement Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong customer base while acquiring and selling used equipment nationally and worldwide. This role focuses on driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, and delivering excellent customer service.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Sell used equipment outside the state of Arkansas—nationally and globally
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams and opportunities to increase gross profit
  • Actively source and purchase equipment for resale
  • Acquire machines for both in-territory and out-of-territory transactions
  • Represent Riggs CAT in wholesale and retail sales to dealers, brokers, and end users
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through research, networking, and industry resources
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and close sales to maximize profitability
  • Prepare quotes, contracts, and manage transaction documentation
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, service, parts, and credit) to ensure equipment readiness and successful delivery
  • Monitor market trends, auction results, and pricing to stay competitive
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records in CRM systems
  • Deliver ongoing customer support and ensure post-sale satisfaction
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to support long-term business growth
  • Maintain knowledge of product lines and participate in ongoing training
  • Conduct business with the highest level of integrity and professionalism

Requirements


WHAT YOU'LL NEED


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (may be waived with relevant experience)
  • 5+ years of heavy equipment sales experience preferred
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound business decisions
  • Proven ability to meet goals, overcome obstacles, and take calculated risks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present effectively to customers and internal teams
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in basic math and business calculations (pricing, margins, commissions, etc.)
  • Valid CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards

Work Environment & Travel
  • Remote position with monthly visits to the corporate office
  • Estimated travel: 2–3 weeks annually
