Logistics and Procurement Intern – Logistics support
Term: Summer 2026 (May–August or similar)
Location: Waukesha, WI
The Logistics Intern will support logistics and global procurement initiatives by executing structured improvement projects, assisting with logistics data integrity, and providing hands-on shop floor support. This role is designed to deliver tangible operational improvements while providing the intern with practical exposure to real-world manufacturing, logistics, and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
1. Logistics coordination
- Work with domestic logistics in the quoting and execution of scheduling carriers to deliver product from site to customer.
- Coordinate with global logistics supervisor to align improvements with daily operations.
2. Compliance education
- Work with Logistics Manager to organize HTS codes and supplemental tariffs to be accurate to our products
- Execute approved updates within NetSuite, following logistics change and data governance standards.
3. Global Procurement organization
- Develop documentation, visual controls, and sustainment recommendations for supply chain.
- Coordinate with global logistics supervisor to align improvements with daily operations.
- Perform cost comparisons, basic design revisions, and manufacturability assessments in collaboration with Logistics and Supply Chain.
- Track estimated cost savings and implementation status.
4. On the floor pick, pack, ship experience
- Execute, floor pick, pack, ship training
- Ensure instructions reflect current best practices, safety requirements, and logistics intent.
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to validate clarity and usability.
Learning Objectives
- Develop practical experience in manufacturing logistics, Global procurement.
- Gain exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite), CNC manufacturing, and real-world cost-out initiatives.
- Build professional communication skills across logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pursuing a college degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or Operations Management
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable and eager to learn!
