What You'll Do

Strategic technology alliances are a key growth engine for BCG, transforming how the firm partners with the world’s leading technology companies to meet the evolving needs of clients and markets. To advance this mission, BCG’s Global Strategic Alliances team is seeking a dynamic Chief of Staff to help organize, operationalize, and drive our alliance strategy and team effectiveness.

In this role, you will act as a force multiplier for the Alliance leadership team (e.g., Global Alliance Leader, Partnership and global GTM leads as well as marketing and Legal), coordinating across BCG regions, practices, BCG X, and the Partnership leaders on our team (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google). You will help shape the alliance strategy, ensure operational excellence, and support the consistent measurement of our scaled GTM motions (e.g. offerings).

This is a highly visible, execution-oriented role at the intersection of strategy, operations, and relationship management.

  • Provide leverage to Global Alliances leadership through strategic planning, governance, and execution support.
  • Oversee operational cadence, including leadership meetings, workstream coordination, and reporting rhythms.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear actions, tracking progress across teams and ensuring accountability.
  • Support the design and delivery of key strategic initiatives — from go-to-market programs to partner enablement.
  • Serve as a connector across alliance, client, and practice area teams, ensuring alignment and communication.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance team effectiveness, operating models, and knowledge sharing across the Alliances function.

The Chief of Staff will work directly with Global Alliances leadership, partnering closely with alliance, commercial, and practice area teams to strengthen collaboration, enhance execution discipline, and deliver measurable outcomes across BCG’s global partner ecosystem. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how BCG engages with its most strategic technology partners — helping to scale collaboration, codify best practices, and strengthen the impact of alliances across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Alliance Strategy & Planning

  • Support the Alliance leadership in developing and refining the annual and multi-year strategy for the partner ecosystem, including ambition, focus areas, and investment priorities
  • Help translate strategic priorities into clear OKRs / KPIs, initiatives, and workplans
  • Conduct targeted internal and external analysis (market trends, partner roadmap, competitive landscape) to inform alliance strategy and positioning
  • Work with Alliance leaders to pace policy with progress ensuring we are designing for growth, and operating withing accepted business parameters

Operating Rhythm & Governance

  • Design and run the operating cadence for the alliance team (e.g., weekly leadership huddles, monthly performance reviews, quarterly executive steering committees)
  • Assist in preparing and shaping materials for senior forums (BCG ET, Practice leadership, BCG X, TDA, partner executives), ensuring messages are concise, data-driven, and action-oriented
  • Track decisions, follow-ups, and risks; ensure effective ownership and closure across a highly distributed set of stakeholders

Go-to-Market & Pipeline Management

  • Drive collaboration with Partnership leads to operationalize GTM plays (e.g., priority industries, practice areas, solutions, regions) to track adoption and outputs
  • Maintain a clear view of the joint pipeline, including key opportunities, wins, and production of flagship references coordinating with adjacent teams as needed
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Partnership teams on joint campaigns, flagship events, and thought leadership, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding
  • Support internal enablement (webinars, roadshows, training content, internal sites) to increase awareness and adoption across BCG as needed alongside Partnership team leaders.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a central coordination point between BCG and the Partnership leads, ensuring alignment on priorities, processes, policy, execution, and communications
  • Support the management of executive relationships (briefing docs, talking points, meeting agendas, follow-up notes).

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Refine and maintain the performance dashboard for the alliance (e.g., revenue, pipeline, attach of partner solutions, solution adoption, marketing and enablement impact)
  • Provide regular performance insights to senior stakeholders and propose course-corrections where needed across priority program elements
  • Support budgeting and investment tracking for the alliance (internal funding, partner MDF or co-investment, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders (Directors, Partners, C-level, VP-level) with poise and credibility.
  • Excellent structured thinking and communication skills – both written (decks, exec summaries, briefing notes) and verbal.
