Overview

The Global Security Control Center (GSCC) Supervisor maintainsoversight of the GSCC operators and monitors and reacts to all natural andmanmadeevents and emergencies affecting all MDA personnel and assets globally. The mission of the Security Operations Center (SOC) is to provide the highest level of professional security operations across the MDA enterprise supporting facilities, resources, personnel, meetings, missions, and conferences both nationally and internationally allowing the Agency to achieve its strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the focal point for emergency communications with SOCstaffs, Agency Directorates, and host installations asrequired.
  • Will provide initial assessment of all emergencies arising within MDA facilities, willimmediatelyestablishcommunications with the SOC, and will apprise SOC management of what has occurred, and actions taken.
  • Will perform functions as directed by SOC management, the COR, or higher government authority and develop and propose innovative ways to ensure security awareness and an emergency preparedness posture ismaintainedat the highest possible level.
  • Willbe responsible forthe integration of emergency management processes and procedures, including security checklists and special security instructions, toassistin the execution of emergency actions requiring senior leadership involvement.
  • The GSCC Supervisor will also be familiar with the MDA Continuity of Operations (COOP) program and asrequired, act as directed by the COR or higher government authority to implement the COOP.
  • Under COOP scenarios, the GSCC Supervisor will serve as an interface between the SOC and MDA management functions.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays if needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in security, law enforcement, or management related fields.
  • Equivalent education/experience is applicable; 10-12 years' experience withMaster's Degree.
  • 10-12 years' experience withbachelor’sdegree.
  • Ten years’ experience in security or law enforcement administrative and substantial operations experience in the armed forces, security, police, or civilian equivalent or related field, three of whichisat the supervisory level.
  • Minimum of three (3)yearssupervisory experience, preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
  • Possess significant background, through either experience and/or education, in basic security guard procedures including supervision policies and procedures.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training manual.
  • Eligible to obtain Top Secret Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Must know a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
