Considering both Associate and Vice President level candidates with at least three years of post-origination residential mortgage loan experience for transaction management role.
Job Summary:
Within the Securitized Products Group, members of the Transaction Management team manage and facilitate the purchase, sale, financing and securitization of closed residential mortgage loans. You will interact with internal business partners such as traders, middle office, bankers and in-house legal as well as mortgage loan originators, whole loan buyers and sellers, custodians, servicers and outside counsel. You will learn and manage the entire loan lifecycle from secondary market perspective (purchase to sale to post-settlement).
Job Responsibilities:
- Work end to end process of buying and selling residential mortgage loans
- Participate in trade negotiations; review and advise on trade terms
- Prepare, review and approve trade confirmations, purchase and sale agreements, assignment agreements, bailee letters, purchase advices, and interim servicing and servicing agreements for both whole loan purchases and sales, servicing released and servicing retained
- Communicate and manage priorities and workflow with third party vendors including attorneys, custodians and servicers
- Daily interaction with traders, clients, sales people, due diligence, attorneys, custodians and servicers answering questions, moving settlements forward and problem solving
- Look for opportunities to improve existing processes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least three years of relevant professional experience working with a residential loan trading desk or another group involved in the secondary mortgage market
- Ability to multi-task, pivot, prioritize and manage deliverables and settlements within tight timeframes
- Strong verbal and communication skills, listening skills and problem solving skills
- Organization skills including attention to detail and good follow up/follow through
- Knowledge of and ability to use Excel and Microsoft Office
- Professional approach to working with others; ability to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with clients and internal partners
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Relevant experience in capital markets and/or legal degree a plus
