ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generates addressing plats utilizing Geographic Information Systems and drawing tools.
- Updates street name list by comparing the new subdivision plats versus the GIS data and existing plats.
- Performs technical duties in the maintenance, development, and operation of the geographic information systems.
- Creates, maintains, and edits departmental shape files and layers.
- Prepares a variety of analysis of electronic information, including the preparation of multi-layered and linked maps and tabular data; prepares graphic materials and assists staff in interpreting the results.
- Ensures the quality and accuracy of a variety of geographic information system data, including researching and revising maps and data from other data sources.
- Performs related work as required.

Required Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited* college or university in Geography or Information Systems
- At least one (1) year of experience in geographic information systems
