Position Summary:
In preparation for ENMU’s first-ever comprehensive campaign, the Gift Officer will play a pivotal role in helping develop a pipeline of annual, major, and planned giving constituents. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement and Public Relations and working closely with the Executive Director of the ENMU Foundation, the Gift Officer will identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward, leadership annual, major and planned gifts. This position will also work collaboratively with the Annual Giving and Engagement Director to help grow, retain and upgrade leadership annual constituents as part of One Roo for ENMU, Eastern’s university-wide annual giving program.
The Gift Officer will develop personalized engagement and solicitation strategies in collaboration with Advancement leadership, meeting activity metrics for constituent meetings, and documenting contact and stage development of relationships and proposals in the donor database.
The Gift Officer will play a significant role helping to build a pipeline of major, planned and principal gift constituents and work collaboratively to increase engagement, and will manage a portfolio of 80-120 constituents located throughout the state of New Mexico and the nation. With an emphasis on relationship building, the Gift Officer will work to identify and assess constituent’s capacity and affinity to become engaged with ENMU through our philanthropic programs and/or our engagement programs. Additionally, this position will be an active partner across our advancement team, playing a critical role helping to plan and facilitate high-impact stewardship, cultivation and all-call events.
Extensive travel and some evening/weekend work will be required.
