Generator Service Technician / After-Sales Specialist

A growing, globally connected organization is seeking a hands-on Generator Service Technician / After-Sales Specialist to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity with strong compensation, excellent autonomy, and the chance to work on advanced generator systems in both shop and field environments.


What You’ll Do

This role owns the full lifecycle of after-sales support and generator system preparation, blending technical expertise with customer-facing problem solving.

After-Sales Support & Warranty

  • Manage and process warranty claims end-to-end
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues (remote & on-site)
  • Provide technical support via phone/email during startup or maintenance
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and distributors on warranty cases
  • Maintain detailed service records and documentation

Operations & Quality

  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and final quality control
  • Modify generator systems based on sales order requirements
  • (fuel tanks, chargers, NFPA110 adders, etc.)
  • Unload, prepare, test, and finalize gensets for shipment
  • Document inspections with photos and reports

Final Assembly

  • Complete final assembly of generator systems, including
  • PSI gas engines and Perkins USA engines

Continuous Improvement

  • Report product quality issues and coordinate corrective actions
  • Partner with internal and global teams on design improvements


What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience with generator systems, diesel/gas engines, or industrial equipment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with genset servicing, modification, and inspection (PDI)
  • Background in after-sales service and warranty processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Self-starter with strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel locally for on-site support as needed

Nice to Have

  • Technical degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related)
  • Field service and workshop experience
  • Exposure to quality control and reporting processes
