General Superintendent – Heavy Civil

About the Role

We’re seeking a senior field leader to oversee heavy civil construction projects. This role leads crews, drives pre-planning, manages production and safety, and partners closely with project management and leadership to deliver work safely, on time, and on budget.

Must-Have Requirements

• Strong civil utilities experience such as storm water, underground work, concrete paving, etc.
• Proven leader who excels in pre-planning, crew motivation, and execution
• Ability to balance production, safety, quality, and cost
• Experience working within a corporate structure, including acquired-company environments
• Highly driven, accountable, and decisive
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure OSHA and company compliance
• Coordinate crews, equipment, and schedules across projects
• Drive production, efficiency, and job cost performance
• Support pre-construction planning and schedule execution
• Mentor Superintendents and Foremen
• Build and maintain strong client and municipal relationships

Industry Focus

• Underground gas mains and services
• Urban trenching with concurrent utilities
• Municipal permitting, ROW coordination, and inspections
• Compliance with utility commission regulations (e.g., RRC / PUC in Texas)
