Why Work Here?

You join a seasonal operation that offers the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of agricultural production and plant operations across different times of the year. The role provides a clear path to full-time employment at the end of a six-month contract and strong potential for rehire in future seasons, supporting continuity and growth. You gain hands-on experience with modern production equipment in a safety-focused environment, while working a consistent schedule with defined breaks. This setting is well suited for individuals who enjoy physical, active work, value teamwork, and want to build a long-term connection with a leading agricultural operation.

Work Environment

This role is based in an agricultural production facility that handles seed corn and related products. The environment can appear dusty and dirty due to corn and insecticide dust associated with seed treatment, but operations follow safety and quality standards. You work both indoors in plant and warehouse areas and outdoors around fields and loading areas, often on uneven surfaces. The position involves extended periods of standing, lifting up to 60 pounds, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive tasks. Smoking and all tobacco products are strictly prohibited anywhere on site. The work schedule begins with onboarding on the first day at 7:30 a.m., followed by the remainder of the first week from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. After onboarding, you move to a 12-hour shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on either the front half or back half of the week, typically working 42 hours per week (Sunday–Tuesday plus a partial Wednesday, or Thursday–Saturday plus a partial Wednesday). You must be able to work any day or night of the week based on business needs, with some flexibility depending on operational requirements. You receive 15-minute breaks for every four hours worked. The facility uses production machinery, dryers, shellers, conditioning equipment, pro boxes, and warehouse systems, and you may operate or work around forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Appropriate industrial footwear with steel toes is required, and attire should be suitable for a physically demanding, dusty, agricultural production setting.
