Why Work Here?
You will join a small, stable team in a clean, well-organized, and highly automated facility that values long-term employee tenure and growth. The company offers a contract-to-hire path with an immediate pay increase upon permanent hire and strong potential to be converted before six months. The unique schedule provides every other weekend off and regular weekdays off, which can be especially beneficial for family and personal commitments. The culture is described as laid-back yet professional, with one-on-one training, supportive leadership, and a desire to give people opportunities even if they do not have extensive experience. There is no micromanagement, and the environment is not a traditional machine shop where you are tied to a single machine, giving you more variety and autonomy in your work. The organization is well-established, has not experienced layoffs, and offers clear opportunities for growth and development.
Work Environment
This role is based in a small facility with fewer than 20 employees, creating a close-knit and supportive atmosphere. The plant is clean, well-lit, organized, and highly automated, producing high volumes of battery caps across 36 machines that run 24/7. Open positions are available on Yellow Days and Green Days day shifts, with a schedule that typically rotates as 3 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off, within a four-shift system (yellow days, yellow nights, green days, green nights). You will work 12-hour shifts on your assigned days, spending most of your time walking and standing while performing production and material handling tasks. The environment emphasizes safety, with required use of PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection. The facility runs continuously, supports long-tenured employees, and maintains a laid-back, non-machine-shop feel where you are not tied to a single machine and are trusted to manage your responsibilities without constant supervision. Dress is practical and appropriate for a production and warehouse setting, with PPE worn as required.
