The ideal candidate will have freestanding restaurant experience and who has proven success implementing new food and beverage concepts. Oribu Restaurant will be opening in late Spring as an amazing dining destination in downtown Washington DC, and the menu features a modern take on Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. The General Manager will oversee the entire Oribu experience for lunch and dinner, and will bring new creative ideas and local business to the restaurant.In addition, this person will oversee our breakfast restaurant Cabinet, our Grand Club lounge, and In-Room Dining.
Other responsibilities include:
Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the hotel outlet operations
Develop and recommend the budget, concepts and objectives, and manage within those approved plans
Implement and maintain food and beverage sales/marketing programs
Direct and oversee development of employees
Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, and conduct performance reviews
Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for the restaurant
Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
Implement procedures to increase guest and employee satisfaction
Exercise quality control for both food and beverage
Maintain Hyatt standards of service and ensure their implementation
Perform daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 (commensurate with experience).
