General Maintenance Technician / Handyperson
Mon- Fri 7AM- 3PM at $18/hr
We are seeking a versatile, "jack-of-all-trades" Maintenance Technician to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who is comfortable moving between mechanical repairs, facility upkeep, and equipment operation. If you are someone who isn't afraid to get dirty, can pivot between tasks quickly, and prioritizes safety above all else, we want to hear from you.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Maintenance: Perform a variety of tasks including basic residential-style electrical and plumbing repairs.
Tool Operation: Safely operate a wide range of hand and power tools to complete repair and installation projects.
Equipment Operation: Safely drive and operate a forklift to move materials or assist in maintenance tasks.
Physical Labor: Execute tasks that require climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, or positioning yourself on knees or lying down to access equipment.
Technical Knowledge: A solid general understanding of residential electrical systems and plumbing.
Physical Agility: Ability to lift at least 40 pounds independently and sustain physical activity throughout the shift (standing, bending, kneeling).
Equipment Experience: Proven experience operating a forklift.
Tools: Proficiency with both manual hand tools and high-grade power tools.
Credentials: Must possess a valid Driver’s License (required for site safety/compliance protocols).
Comfort Level: Must be comfortable working at heights (ladders) and in various physical orientations (kneeling/lying down).
Safety-First Mindset: Strict adherence to safety protocols when using machinery and tools.
Reliability: Punctual and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Adaptability: Willingness to jump into different types of manual labor as the day requires.
This role involves active, physical work in a variety of settings. You will be expected to move frequently and maintain a high level of awareness of your surroundings, especially when operating heavy machinery or working with electrical components.
