Our client, a leading AmLaw firm with offices across the US, are looking to grow their litigation team in Los Angeles or Orange County with a number of strategic hires. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney with at least a year of defense litigation experience who is eager to build a long term career with a collaborative and high performing team.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle all phases of complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense.
- Regularly conduct & defend depositions, handle court appearances, and motion practice. Effectively prepare and examine witnesses, ensuring thorough case preparation and strong representation of clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and seasoned Partners on high-impact legal projects, contributing to a collaborative, results-driven environment.
Qualifications
- A year of civil or commercial litigation experience, ideally with any of general liability, insurance coverage, product liability, premises liability and or professional liability.
- Experience with construction/labor law and or transportation and trucking matters preferred.
- Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school.
- Must be admitted in California.
- Proficiency in managing complex litigation from inception to trial, including preparation of pleadings and briefs, managing discovery and depositions, and conducting legal research, analysis, and writing.
