General Laborer

Join a dynamic team that has been providing quality tire services since 1939. As a General Production Worker in the Re-tread department, you will be part of a process that refurbishes old and damaged tires, giving them new life. This entry-level position offers significant room for growth as you gain hands-on experience with machines and processes central to retreading tires.

Responsibilities

• Tend machines that recap and retread tires for reuse.
• Push tires against power buffing wheels using tire holders to prepare them for recapping or retreading.
• Install retread rubber on prepared tires.
• Prepare tires for the curing process.

• Experience in a labor environment (production, landscaping, construction, lube technician, tire technician).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Machine operation skills.
• Mechanical inclination.

• 3-6 months work history in a fast-paced or production environment.
• 3-6 months experience using hand tools.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, and perform heavy lifting.
• Experience with tire tools, alignment machines, air wrench, and using air/temp gauges preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing/production setting utilizing hook systems for moving tires. While there is a rubber smell, the shop maintains cleanliness and is equipped with ovens for baking on new treads. Expect a warm environment during summer months. The role is on the first shift, from Monday to Friday, 4:00am to 3:00pm, with occasional Saturday work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savage, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
