Job Title: General Production Associate
Job Description

The General Production Associate supports daily production and packaging operations in a food manufacturing environment by loading and unloading products, assisting machine operators, performing sanitation tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload product from production lines safely and efficiently.
  • Change out waste and update or replace packaging materials as needed.
  • Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
  • Assist machine operators with production line setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting support.
  • Sort, bundle, and organize products according to production requirements.
  • Move, stack, and place items on conveyors manually or using mechanized equipment.
  • Deliver production materials or area-specific items to designated work areas for processing.
  • Pack products into crates or boxes by hand, following packaging specifications.
  • Apply and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and reporting hazards.
  • Perform sanitation duties, including cleaning and sanitizing food packaging machinery and work areas.
  • Support overall production goals by working collaboratively with team members and adapting to changing priorities.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of general labor or general production experience.
  • At least 1 year of packaging experience in a production or warehouse environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a loader or unloader.
  • At least 1 year of sanitation experience, preferably in a production or food-related setting.
  • Ability to perform material handling tasks such as lifting, moving, and stacking products.
  • Understanding of and ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Capability to work safely around production machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a packager in a production or warehouse environment.
  • Prior general labor experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Comfort working with food packaging machinery and related equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail for product inspection and quality checks.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Willingness to perform both production and sanitation duties as needed.
  • Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Work Environment

This role operates in a GMP-compliant food manufacturing environment focused on safety, cleanliness, and quality. Team members wear safety shoes, safety glasses, hair nets, and beard nets as part of the standard dress code. The position is scheduled on 2nd shift, typically from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime of up to approximately 50-hour work weeks can be expected until all positions are filled, after which the schedule typically returns to around 40 hours per week. Work involves standing for most of the shift, performing repetitive tasks, handling materials, and working around food packaging machinery in a fast-paced production setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Monroe, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
