The Equipment Wash Technician is responsible for thoroughly cleaning, degreasing, and pressure washing construction machinery and related equipment in an outdoor wash bin or wash bay. This role helps ensure that all equipment meets cleanliness standards before repairs, inspections, or deployment to job sites, while consistently following safety and environmental guidelines.
Responsibilities
Join a small, supportive team in a hands-on, industrial setting where your reliability and work ethic are valued. You can build practical skills working with construction equipment while enjoying benefits such as dental, vision, and 401(k). The role starts as a contract opportunity with the potential to extend beyond the initial period based on performance and business needs, offering a chance to grow with a company that appreciates safety, independence, and teamwork.
Work Environment
This role is based in a very industrial environment that distributes parts and equipment for construction companies. You will primarily work outdoors in an open wash bin or wash bay, with frequent exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, mud, dirt, and changing outdoor weather conditions. The broader facility is a non-climate-controlled warehouse, and the work involves regular interaction with heavy machinery and construction equipment. The typical shift runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or until the day’s work is completed, requiring flexibility to stay until tasks are finished. Personal protective equipment such as rubber boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection is provided and required to maintain a safe working environment.
