General Laborer

Location: Fremont, NE

Schedule: Day shift with flexible hours; some off‑site and roadside calls

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Tire Technician / General Laborer to support tire service operations for commercial, passenger, and off‑road vehicles. This role combines hands‑on mechanical work with customer service, both in the shop and at customer locations. The ideal candidate is safety‑focused, mechanically inclined, and willing to perform physically demanding work in a fast‑paced service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, repair, inflate, and service tires of various sizes
• Provide tire services in the shop and at customer locations, including roadside and off‑site calls
• Inspect tires for wear, damage, and defects to ensure safety standards are met
• Accurately document services performed, materials used, and job details
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and tire mounting/dismounting equipment
• Follow all shop and job‑site safety procedures at all times
• Lift, move, and handle tires and related materials regularly
• Deliver professional, courteous customer service and address basic client questions
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and collaborate with team members

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with tires, automotive service, or general mechanical labor
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
• Ability to safely operate tire service equipment (or willingness to be trained)
• Ability to perform labor‑intensive work, including frequent lifting
• Valid driver’s license with a relatively clean driving record
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including off‑site or roadside service calls
• Commitment to safety and professional conduct

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a tire shop or automotive service environment
• Expereince as a lube technician, mechanic, or general laborer
• Basic troubleshooting skills related to tires and wheels
• Customer‑service or field‑service experience

Work Environment

• This position is primarily based in a shop environment with additional off‑site and roadside service duties. The role is physically demanding and fast‑paced, requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing. Employees use hand tools, power tools, and specialized tire equipment daily. Uniforms are provided to maintain a professional appearance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, NE.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
