The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is a separately organized agency within the Department of War (DoW) under a Director, appointed by the Secretary of War. The Agency engages in advanced basic and applied research and development projects essential to DoW, and conducts prototype projects that embody technology that may be incorporated into joint programs, programs in support of deployed US forces, or selected Military Department programs. This position is in the Senior Executive Service (SES), a small, elite group of top government leaders. SES members possess a diverse portfolio of experiences including strong skills to lead across organizations. Education
Candidates must meet the following education requirement for career series 0905: Must be a graduate of American Bar Association accredited law school and an active member in good standing of the bar of a state, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. commonwealth or U.S. territory. Active status must be maintained in at least one state or jurisdiction during the course of employment in the Office of the General Counsel and DLSA. Applicants are not required to provide an official certificate demonstrating this active status, but must provide such a certificate to the selecting official if selected. A certified copy of a law school transcript is required as proof that you meet the educational requirement for this position (unofficial transcripts are acceptable) and must be provided to the selecting official if selected.
