Responsibilities

  • Follows clearly detailed procedures in performing simple repetitive tasks in the same sequence. Responsibilities may include filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file, or operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy, addressograph or mailing machine). This position may use some subject matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence.
  • Developing, updating and reviewing briefing material and program schedules
  • Tracking incoming and outgoing communications and Naval messages
  • Ordering office supplies and coordinating office equipment maintenance.
  • Working with program leads to maintain meeting agendas and schedules, including preparation of meeting materials, meeting minutes, action item tracking and reporting.
  • Maintaining program office paper and electronic file folders
  • Preparing Naval Messages, reports, memorandum, and policy documents
  • Generate visit requests, meeting makers, shipping labels, etc.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills with Microsoft Office for reviewing, proofreading, coordinating information flow, creating, editing, maintaining lists, files, spreadsheets, reports, and processing documents.
  • Marking documents for review and release
  • Prepares mailings and packages for delivery.
  • Maintain SharePoint database for action items and correspondence.
  • Prepares written replies and other program correspondence

Qualifications

  • Education / Certifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience:
  • At least one (1) year of clerical, secretarial, or office work experience.
  • Skills & Technology Used:
  • The ability to effectively communicate both orally and written
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Other Requirements:
  • This position requires a Secret clearance
