Gardener and Landscaper, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Gardener and Landscaper to join our team at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite in Fish Camp, California. As a Gardener and Landscaper, you will be responsible for providing seasonal care to plants, recognizing pests, parasites, and other common plant illnesses, taking appropriate control measures, and, where necessary, using equipment and products to maintain healthy plants.

What will you do?

• Keep the grounds healthy, weed-free, raked and watered
• Prune and relocate vegetation
• Maintain parking lots, pathways, and patio free of litter
• Operate company motor vehicles as necessary

More about you

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Live within commuting distance of Tenaya Lodge (Employee housing is not available)
• Experience using gardening equipment and experience in a similar environment
• Self-motivated and can work without direct supervision
• A valid driver’s license
• No experience or diploma required

Physical requirements

• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, pulling, and pushing throughout shift
• Ability to withstand varying outdoor temperatures
