The Fund Accountant 2 is a member of the Galliard Stable Value Operations Team.  

Daily responsibilities require performing moderately complex fund accounting for collective funds and institutional portfolios, calculating net asset values and provide daily pricing to record keepers and other intermediaries. Other responsibilities include balancing investment activity and rates with outside parties monthly and preparing financial reports for clients and auditors annually. This position will also be responsible for monitoring portfolio metrics and compliance requirements to identify and resolve potential issues.



Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting experience demonstrated through work or military experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Fixed income investments experience
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of portfolio accounting, fixed income securities, trade settlement operations, the role of systems supporting these functions, and the role of outside participant record keepers
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the nature of collective or mutual fund processes
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics


Other Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with NSCC. (National Securities Clearing Corporation)
• Experience with PAM (or other securities accounting system), and SEI (or equivalent custodian system)
• Stable value product knowledge
