Position Summary Trinity High School seeks a full-time Theology Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Trinity teachers are mission-driven educators committed to Catholic values, academic excellence, and the holistic formation of young women. Trinity teachers create a safe, inclusive, and intellectually challenging classroom environment rooted in our school’s values. Teachers demonstrate strong content knowledge, use varied instructional strategies, and assess student learning through meaningful and diverse methods. Responsibilities ● Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Trinity’s college preparatory and IB curriculum ● Foster an inclusive learning environment that respects diverse abilities and backgrounds ● Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) ● Support students’ academic, personal, and spiritual growth ● Update course maps and curriculum guides ● Integrate instructional technology to enhance learning All Trinity students are required to earn four credits of Theology before graduation. Due to the number of credits required, Theology teachers teach a variety of Theology courses throughout the school year. Trinity operates on a 4x5 block schedule, with Theology courses being offered either every day for one block or every other day for two blocks. All teachers should be prepared to teach different levels of students, including those with College Prep and IB course loads. Qualifications ● Bachelor’s degree in the subject area—or adjacent area in the humanities (Master’s preferred) ● Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) for grades 9–12 ● Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills ● Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of an all-girls school ● Ability to differentiate classroom instruction for students with varying levels of instruction prior to entering Trinity High School ● Willing and able to teach any course in the Department’s Curriculum Salary and Benefits Starting salary is dependent on degree and experience. For a first year teacher with no experience, starting salary is $43,000 - $68,000. Trinity offers Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, and a 403B plan. Time off includes paid time off and sick days, as well as scheduled school holidays.
