The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology and can expect to teach a variety of course offerings in the department including majors and non-majors Biology courses. A variety of teaching modalities are offered including online, blended, and in-person instruction. Experience teaching diverse students at various levels of college-preparedness and non-traditional students is highly desirable.
Master’s degree in Biology or the equivalent in Biology or a related field.
2 years previous teaching experience in higher education, community college preferred.
Experience with the use of instructional technology.
Commitment to teaching a student body diverse in ability, age, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation.
Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate in a biological field.
Experience with development and delivery of instruction in a variety of modes (online, blended, FLEX) and learning management systems, including D2L-Brightspace.
Experience with development, assessment and revision of curriculum.
Experience with outcomes assessment, data collection, and analysis.
Previous experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology
College level teaching experience in biological sciences with emphasis in laboratory methods and equipment typically used in the discipline.
STATUS/SALARY: This is a regular full-time faculty position with salary to be determined by placement on the faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience. This is a 9-month position that includes the following benefits: $15,200 Annual Flexible Health Benefit, 12 Medical and 3 Personal Days Earned within the First Year of Employment and 11 Holidays.
