Wells Fargo Wholesale Banking Technology, part of Wells Fargo Technology, is seeking a seasoned full stack Java developer that will focus on the digital channels technology team to support the wholesale customer Self-service platform applications. This position is for a lead Java/J2EE developer who will maintain and develop new functionality for the business for the full life cycle of projects from evaluation of complex business requirements to design, coding, and testing of solutions, utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
The candidate must have hands-on experience in application development and maintenance, serve as a lead resource on delivery, collaborate with other team members and interface with upstream/downstream application teams. Successful applicant will have to multi-task in a fast-paced team oriented environment while developing and implementing highly complex internet and intranet applications.. Candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply core development principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications. This requires leveraging advanced knowledge and experience with Responsive Web Design (RWD), angular and relevant JavaScript skills. Strong technical skills will be required to succeed in this role.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, direct, and assist in the preparation of moderately complex computer solutions in the maintenance and modification of new and currently used applications.
- Play a technical SME role and participate in code reviews, design reviews, internal testing sign off for deliverables from EGS.
- Analyze requirements and provide development estimates across project and BAU activities
- Be the liaison with the onshore team and ensure communication and reporting of delivery from the offshore team
- Ensuring quality and security of the solutions and address any remediations as needed
- Collaborate with the engineering team counter parts to analyze, investigate and resolve open issues. Also, provide technical expertise to support team during incident/problem resolution
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- 3+ years of JavaScript development experience
- 3+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)
- 4+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
- 5+ years of Java experience
- 4 + years of web application development experience
- 5+ years of software engineering and implementation experience
- 2+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: GitHub, SVN(Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control) or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server)
- 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following build type tools: Maven, Gradle or Node.js
- 3+ years of experience with Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
Desired Qualifications
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- A BS/BA degree or higher in engineering
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
