We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help scale a mission-critical platform at the intersection of defense technology, AI, robotics, and large-scale sensor networks. You'll join a well-funded startup where engineers have significant ownership, build products that turn complex data into actionable insights, and take projects from idea to production in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with government contracts or regulated environments is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from monolithic applications to scalable microservices and build reliable data pipelines across the platform.
- Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using TypeScript, React, React Native, Python, and Node.js.
- Design, build, and support backend services and APIs that power mission-critical products.
- Work extensively with AWS services, including S3, Kinesis, EC2, Fargate, and IoT to support large-scale operations.
- Own features end-to-end, from customer feedback and technical design through deployment and ongoing improvements.
- Partner with product, operations, and leadership teams to deliver solutions that directly impact customers and business growth.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of full-stack software engineering experience, with a strong backend focus.
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Python, React, Node.js, and AWS.
- Proven experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-based applications.
- Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines and real-time systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects from concept to production, and make sound technical decisions.
- Experience working within government contracting, defense, or other regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with React Native mobile development.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Kinesis, EC2, Fargate, and IoT.
- Experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
- Knowledge of streaming technologies and protocols such as RTSP and SRT.
- Experience working with sensor networks, edge computing, or real-time data platforms.
