Front Desk Clerk, Waybound Yosemite

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring full-time and seasonal Front Desk Agents, who will be called Wayfinders, for our new Waybound Yosemite property located just outside Yosemite National Park in Fish Camp, California.  This role is part of a dynamic, guest‑centric team that delivers genuine hospitality to every Waybound visitor. Beyond traditional front desk responsibilities, team members act as true hosts, creating warm welcomes, anticipating needs, and ensuring guests feel cared for throughout their stay. Success in this position requires the wearing of many hats, supporting various areas of the operation, and stepping in wherever the guest experience needs you most. It’s a collaborative, service‑driven environment where flexibility, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality come together to create memorable moments for our guests and each other.

What will you do?

• Greet and register guests via a centralized registration system and coordinate with housekeeping as needed
• Manage cash and credit card transactions while keeping accurate paperwork
• Resolve small guest issues immediately, delivering items to guests as needed
• Monitor and balance the daily figures, post room and tax charges on guest accounts
• Act as a host to create a unique guest experience and try to find ways to say “yes” to the guest
• Possess a teamwork mindset and assist fellow team members to ensure the successful delivery of hospitality to Waybound guests
• Duties may go beyond typical front desk work and could include food and beverage delivery, retail, housekeeping, and maintaining swimming pool cleanliness
• Operate company vehicles for transportation across the property as needed

More about you

• Good interpersonal communication skills in person and by phone and previous customer service experience is beneficial
• Ability to multitask, function in a professional manner under pressure from guests and supervisors
• Ability to recognize and respond to guest social cues
• Good interpersonal communication skills in person and by phone 
• Judgment to resolve guest issues with minimal supervision, and knowing when to escalate
• Minimum of 6 months of front desk experience or 1 year of customer service experience required
• Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification
• A valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years old

Physical requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, as well as bend and climb stairs throughout shifts
