Freight Member Advisor (Account Manager)

Procure Analytics
Atlanta, GA

Description

Procure Analytics (PA) is the leading tech-enabled group purchasing organization for MRO, Packaging, and Freight, leveraging $2.5B+ in buying power to deliver up-front and ongoing savings for 1,000+ member companies ranging from mid-size manufacturers to Fortune 500 corporations. Headquartered in Atlanta and owned by Genstar Capital, PA is in an aggressive growth phase with a rapidly expanding Freight program.

PA serves as a strategic extension of our members' procurement organizations — driving adoption, managing supplier relationships, and delivering measurable, documented value at scale.

The Role

As a Freight Member Advisor, you will own a defined portfolio of freight member accounts spanning a broad range of industries. Your members will range from independent companies to private equity-backed organizations and consulting relationships, reflecting the diversity of PA's membership base. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your members and a key driver of program adoption, realized value and impactful business outcomes. You will report to the Director of Packaging & Logistics and work in close partnership with others on the Packaging & Logistics team.

The Freight Program Today: The Freight program is one of PA's fastest-growing categories. With strong momentum and interest from our membership, we are building the team to ensure we stay ahead of the curve and exceed member expectations.

What You'll Do

• Manage a defined portfolio of freight member accounts with full accountability for engagement, retention, and delivered value.

• Develop deep knowledge of each member's organization structure, procurement contacts, site operations, freight spend profile, and strategic priorities.

• Maintain a 3-wide, 3-deep relationship architecture — building relationships across procurement, operations, and finance at C-suite, director, and site manager levels.

• Lead standardized Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) covering spend consolidated, savings delivered, opportunities identified, and forward-looking member needs.

• Identify and execute small-to-mid value freight optimization opportunities independently, including mode consolidation, lane analysis, supplier switching, and compliance improvement.

• Build strong working relationships with PA's freight supplier partners to identify member-specific optimization levers.

• Utilize technology tools including PowerBI, Salesforce, Trumpet, AI, and PA proprietary software to document member interactions, track opportunity pipelines, and highlight risks.

• Support new member onboarding by participating in implementation handoffs and ensuring a seamless transition from the implementation process.

Requirements

Experience & Background

• 3–5 years of experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain account management — you have owned a book of business and been accountable for results.

• Direct experience working with or selling into manufacturing, industrial, or CPG companies; you understand how procurement decisions are made at complex organizations.

• Comfort navigating multi-stakeholder environments — you can operate effectively at the C-suite level and the site floor with equal ease.

• Demonstrated track record of building proactive client relationships, not reactive ones; you have examples of identifying and acting on opportunities before customers asked.

• Prior experience with PE-backed companies is a plus — you understand how private equity ownership shapes procurement priorities and decision timelines.

• Exposure to freight brokerage, 3PL account management, or GPO/indirect spend environments (CH Robinson, Coyote, Echo, Transplace, or similar) is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Analytical fluency: you are comfortable in Salesforce, Excel, and data tools — you use data to manage your accounts proactively, not reactively.

• Strong project management instincts: you can run a QBR, manage an optimization initiative, track deliverables, and hold suppliers and members accountable to commitments.

• Clear, confident communicator — written, verbal, and in presentations. You do not over-explain; you drive to decisions.

• Entrepreneurial mindset: you bring a sense of ownership and urgency to your work. You do not wait to be told what to do.

• Collaborative teammate: you escalate intelligently, share knowledge freely, and make the people around you better.

Education

• Bachelor's degree from a competitive program required. Strong academic performance.

• MBA or advanced degree is a plus, but track record and results matter more.
