Freelance Event Coordinator – Chicago

We're launching our AI-powered matchmaking app in Chicago and are looking for a sharp, organized, and execution-focused Event Coordinator to run our curated singles events on the ground.

This is not a planning-from-a-distance role — this is an in-person, boots-on-the-ground opportunity.

About the role You'll be our local operator in Chicago. You'll receive a full event playbook from us and own everything on the ground — venue coordination, staff briefing, check-in management, and night-of flow. We handle ticketing, marketing, and guest communications. You make sure the event runs flawlessly.

What you'll do

• Source and book venues following our brief
• Coordinate with bar staff and any event personnel
• Manage check-in and guest flow on the night
• Be the on-the-ground point of contact for everything local

You're a fit if you

• Are based in Chicago
• Have run social, nightlife, or corporate events in Chicago
• Have existing relationships with local venues or bar managers
• Are reliable, proactive, and execution-obsessed
• Can manage 100–200 person events independently

Bonus if you

• Have experience in dating, social, or singles events
• Already have a network of local event staff you can mobilize
• Love the idea of building something in your city from the ground up
