The Fractional HR Consultant will provide ongoing, part time HR support across payroll, benefits, and employee relations for a distributed team. This role will operate as the primary HR resource, partnering directly with leadership to manage day to day HR operations and ensure a positive employee experience. The consultant will bring strong payroll expertise, while supporting broader HR needs as they arise.
Worksite Location: Hybrid - West metro, Minneapolis, MN
Salary Range: Hourly rate between $55-$70, DOE

Roles & Responsibilities
- Process and manage payroll, including variable or commission based compensation structures
- Conduct regular reviews of employee status and compensation accuracy
- Support benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR related questions and employee concerns
- Provide guidance on time off, policies, and general HR practices
- Assist with onboarding and ensure smooth new hire integration
- Maintain compliance with HR policies and employment practices
- Partner with leadership to support ongoing HR needs and improvements
- Establish clear availability (“office hours”) to support employees and leadership consistently
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing end to end HR operations in a standalone or fractional capacity
- Strong payroll expertise, ideally including commission based or variable pay structures
- Experience administering employee benefits and supporting employee inquiries
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a flexible environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems preferred
