Stax is partnering with a fast-scaling AI-native software company building a platform designed to transform how modern organisations connect product, support, engineering, and customer operations.

Their technology unifies structured and unstructured data into a single AI-ready system, enabling intelligent search, agent-based workflows, and automation across the entire organisation.

As adoption accelerates with enterprise customers, they are expanding their Applied AI Engineering team and hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to design and deliver AI-powered solutions for real-world business environments.

The Role

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role where you will architect and implement AI-powered solutions for enterprise customers.

You’ll work directly with customers to understand their workflows, design scalable architectures, and build intelligent integrations that bring AI capabilities into their existing systems.

Think of it as the intersection of:

• Applied AI engineering

• Enterprise architecture

• Systems integration

• Customer-facing technical leadership

What You’ll Do

• Design and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflows

• Build integrations with enterprise systems (CRMs, APIs, internal platforms)

• Develop proof-of-concepts and production integrations

• Translate business problems into scalable AI architectures

• Tune prompts, agent logic, and evaluation frameworks

• Work closely with product, engineering, and customer teams to deliver successful deployments

Expect a mix of:

• 20–40% customer interaction
• 50%+ hands-on engineering
• Up to 30% travel for workshops and deployments

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or technical consulting
• Strong coding experience with Python and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience working with LLMs, RAG architectures, or AI agents
• Experience integrating systems via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong communication skills and customer empathy

Bonus:

• Experience deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments

• Experience with agent orchestration frameworks

• Architecture certifications (TOGAF, SAFe)
