Production Technician

Warehouse & Manufacturing Operations | Full‑Time

We’re hiring a Production Technician to support warehouse and manufacturing operations in a hands‑on, team‑oriented environment. This role plays a key part in handling, packaging, and shipping seed products while safely operating forklifts and facility equipment. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and comfort with physical labor, including lifting bags up to 70 lbs, as job duties rotate based on production needs and agricultural seasonality.


What You’ll Do
  • Safely operate forklifts to move product into storage and prepare shipments
  • Load, stack, and store products according to facility guidelines
  • Inspect product appearance and quality before packaging or shipment
  • Use inventory technology (iPad, RF scanners, and related systems) to track and update inventory
  • Accurately count, sort, label, and identify products for customer orders and returns
  • Pick, stage, and organize orders for shipment, including pallet building and load preparation
  • Assist with bagging, repackaging, labeling, and processing of seed products
  • Repeatedly lift and handle seed bags weighing up to 70 lbs
  • Operate facility equipment including forklifts, conveyors, dock locks, hydraulic doors, battery hoists, and compressed air systems
  • Perform routine safety checks on equipment and work areas
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces through strong housekeeping practices
  • Support shipping and receiving operations, including unloading trucks and material handling
  • Assist with inventory counts, internal audits, and quality assurance activities
  • Rotate between warehouse, bagging/packaging, and repack areas based on seasonal demand
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping goals
  • Perform other general labor tasks as needed to support facility operations
What We’re Looking For
  • Forklift experience preferred, with a strong focus on safe operation
  • Experience in warehouse or production environments (shipping, receiving, picking, packing, inventory)
  • Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 70 lbs throughout the shift
  • Comfortable performing general labor tasks on and off the forklift
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of tablets or similar devices
  • Strong attention to detail for counting, labeling, and quality checks
  • Ability to work safely around machinery and material handling equipment
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and overtime during peak agricultural seasons
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Preferred Experience
  • RF scanner or inventory tracking system experience
  • Packaging, bagging, and repack processing experience
  • Shipping and receiving, including truck loading and unloading
  • Exposure to quality assurance, audits, or inventory cycle counts
  • Additional material handling equipment (pallet jacks, conveyors, etc.)

Work Environment
  • Warehouse and manufacturing facility supporting bagging, packaging, warehouse, and repack operations
  • Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks

  • Seasonal overtime and extended hours may be required during peak periods
  • Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and teamwork with clear procedures and PPE requirements

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Clinton, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
