Job Title: Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate

Pay: $22/hr

Job Description

The Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate works under the guidance of operations leadership to support all day-to-day functions within the service center warehouse. This role focuses on safe and efficient material handling, accurate inventory management, and professional customer service when interacting with internal teams and external partners. The position also serves as a back-up Route Sales Driver as needed to support customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move, load, and unload products and equipment.
• Perform general material handling tasks including picking, staging, and organizing products for shipment or distribution.
• Receive and ship packages using carriers such as UPS, DHL, FedEx.
• Assist in loading delivery trucks with product, current promotional stock, and point-of-sale (POS) materials.
• Maintain organization of POS materials for the Route Sales team, ensuring items are easily accessible and properly stored.
• Pull and prepare orders accurately for distributor pickup, verifying quantities and product details.
• Maintain daily and weekly inventory logs, using RF scanners and other tools to track stock levels and movements.

Essential Skills

• Experience with sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks
• Hands-on experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, picking, and staging product.
• Ability to use RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing products and equipment.
• Effective communication skills to work closely with operations leadership and warehouse team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with common shipping carriers such as UPS, DHL, and FedEx.
• Familiarity with handling and organizing point-of-sale (POS) materials and promotional stock.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in both warehouse and office areas.
• Interest in growth opportunities within a smaller department and willingness to learn additional responsibilities over time.

Work Environment

This role is based in an indoor warehouse setting with direct, regular communication with leadership. You will work around material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners, and spend much of the day on your feet performing physical tasks like loading, unloading, and organizing product. The environment involves typical warehouse conditions, including varying temperatures, frequent movement of goods, and ongoing shipping and receiving activity.

This is a Contract position based out of Salem, NH.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Salem,NH.
