This role is a weekend shift forklift operator position in a large, fast-paced manufacturing and warehousing environment. You will spend the majority of your time operating a sit-down forklift in tight spaces, moving materials efficiently and safely while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. The standard schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and you are paid for 40 hours when you complete the full 36-hour schedule without leaving early. The position is ideal for a highly experienced forklift driver who values safety, reliability, and teamwork, and who wants to grow with a company that invests in its employees.
Responsibilities
You join a long-established, family-owned operation that values people, invests in state-of-the-art equipment, and provides a stable, growth-oriented workplace. The company offers comprehensive medical and dental benefits with no monthly premiums, putting more money directly in your pocket. Full-time employees enjoy access to an on-site gym, a large break room with food available for purchase, and a culture that recognizes hard work with annual Christmas bonuses, periodic BBQs, and regular appreciation events. You benefit from annual reviews with typical wage increases of 3–5%, additional performance-based raises, and clear opportunities to grow your earnings through dedication and skill progression. The organization emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a positive work environment, and rewards employees who show initiative and reliability.
Work Environment
You work in a very large corrugated packaging and box manufacturing facility that operates state-of-the-art equipment, including a 112" multiflute corrugator, a 62" single face laminator, multiple rotary die cutters, flexo folder gluers, platten diecutters, and specialty folder gluers. The environment is fast-paced and centered around heavy equipment and high-volume material flow, requiring constant awareness of safety and surroundings. Temperature conditions vary, with the facility becoming hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so you should be comfortable working in changing conditions. You are part of a small team of forklift drivers operating primarily sit-down forklifts in tight spaces, moving quickly while maintaining safety and precision. The standard weekend schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with pay structured so that completing the full 36 hours as scheduled results in pay for 40 hours, provided you do not leave early. Mandatory overtime is occasionally required, often on Fridays or another day, while still maintaining at least two days off most weeks. The facility maintains an equal opportunity, harassment-free, and drug-free workplace. On-site amenities include a large break room with food for purchase and a gym available to full-time employees, contributing to a comfortable and supportive work setting focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
