Forklift Operator

Our client, a leading organization in warehouse and logistics operations, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse support team, ensuring efficient movement of materials and products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: New Iberia, LA

Pay Range: $17-$18.40

Shift: 6am-6:10pm days, 6pm-6:10am nights

What's the Job?

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and products internally and for shipments
• Perform daily cycle counts, inspect inventory, and investigate discrepancies
• Conduct routine equipment inspections (forklifts, batteries, racks), log activities, and report malfunctions
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces as part of 5S and housekeeping programs
• Support other departments (Production or Couriers) as needed

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of sit-down forklift experience within the past 4–8 years
• Experience in warehouse/material handling, including documentation and RF scanners
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems, Microsoft Office
• Must have 4 years of forklift experience, pass a drug test, and background check
